The Wedding Decoration
Guest article by Katharina Trögl from Allure Design
Part of a perfect wedding is the perfect decoration – and it is certainly one of the most elaborate points during the preparation of the celebration: colours must be chosen, a style must be defined. We have great tips for a beautiful, quick and inexpensive decoration from the wedding professional for you:
Adapt the decoration (style, colours) of your wedding location. This way everything harmonizes.
Use as much white as possible: Tablecloths, napkins, chair covers, etc. White lends nobility and turns the location into a festive, brighter, friendlier place.
Rent instead of buy! You can save a lot if you rent certain decorative items such as chair covers, beer bank covers, vases, candlesticks, tea light holders, scatter material, picture frames, etc.. It is best to reserve your favourite items and pick them up a few days before the wedding. This avoids hectic rush.
Indirect light – chain of lights, floodlights, spotlights – gives the perfect romantic mood. And with modern LED lighting technology it is also economical.
Candlelight is just as important and sets the icing on the cake for your romantic wedding. Chose high-quality candles. These candles burn longer and are mostly drip-free, so that you are not busy after the wedding to cleaning the decorative items of wax, or in the worst case to pay high cleaning costs for table linen.
Flowers are the most important for the wedding-decoration. For volume, use large flowers such as hydrangeas, dahlias, carnations. This can save you a lot of money. Combine them with other somewhat expensive flowers, such as roses, orchids, callas, etc… For the vintage look use grasses, feathers and bows.
Give your wedding decoration a personal touch: Add personal pictures, hobbies, experiences, e.g. in the table numbers, guest gifts or guest book.
If all this sounds too stressful and confusing for you, book a professional and hand over the whole planning, organization, construction, dismantling as well as cleaning to the others and enjoy your wedding to the fullest.
